Hi,
After having read this post from Juan :
https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=3286.msg22596#msg22596 I try to figure out what is the best procedure to calibrate flat/images.
As I understand there are three ways :
1.
- Integration of the darks (so the MasterDark contains bias).
- calibration of flats/images (with activation of the "Calibration" box)
According to Juan's post, it's the most usual procedure
2.
- Integration of the darks (so the MasterDark contains bias).
- calibration of the MasterDark with the MasterBias
- calibration of the flats (without activation of the "Calibration" box)
3.
- calibration of the darks with the MasterBias
- calibration of the flats with MasterDark and MasterBias (without activation of the "Calibration" box)
This method is atypical (according to Juan's post).
But for years I have been using this 3rd procedure.
Is there a difference in the result of each procedure ? Is one or other best suited for a kind of sensor DSLR, CCD, ... ?
Regards,
