PPC failed due to drizzled data
« on: 2018 July 04 12:39:27 »
My data is undersampled so I use drizzling in my process. When I tried using PPC it failed to plate solve because could not find minimum 6 stars. Tried every server still failed to plate solve. So, I thought maybe the process of drizzling changed the stars so they were not recognized or changed the plate scale.
Created a new RGB image without the drizzling process and PPC works perfectly. I know I can do background neutralization and color calibration but am curious as to why PPC failed with drizzled data.
Thanks,
Ed Stuckey

it changes the plate scale, set it to 1/2 whatever it was in the original image.

Thanks. I am relatively new to pixinsight, how do I changed the plate scale. I am using RGB subframes, do I change plate scale in each RGB channel before combining them?
