Leo Triplet - yes, another one :)
« on: 2018 April 23 03:55:31 »
Everybody images it, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. I think this one stands out a bit due to the quality of the data - provided by the wonderful Drs Jim & Linda Powell who are kind enough to share with me (and even image targets that I suggest.)

Captured at DSW New Mexico, Mar-Apr 2018

Objects in image:
NGC3628 with its lovely tidal tail, M65, M66, various smaller IC & PGC galaxies

Scope: TEC 160FL FL=1152.68mm
Mount: Paramount ME
Camera: SBIG STXL-16200
Filters: Astrodon
Image scale: 1.069 arcsec/pixel (Drizzled up)
Exposures: 16x1200s R, 15x1200 G, 15x1200s B, 80x900s L (35.3 hours)
Processing: PixInsight 1.8.5

Acquisition: Drs Jim & Linda Powell
Processing: Rick Stevenson
