imagecontainer and save Images
« on: 2018 April 04 04:48:14 »
Hi to all ,
I would like to turn a lot of canon cr2 raw images with the help of the image container by 90 degrees and save all. But PI can not save CR2 images, how do I get PI to save all rotated images as XISF?

thanks for helping !
charly

The problem is:
my canon 600 shot 50 bias pictures and rotate this without me noticing.
if i integrate this bias to a master bias , with image integration,  the right side will not be integrated but cut off!

Hi Charly,

On ImageContainer, write the following as output template:

&filename;.xisf

This will preserve all existing file names but will save the images in XISF format with .xisf file suffixes. For more information on ImageContainer output templates, click the question mark button to the right of the output template parameter. Hope this helps.

although, i think you must be debayering your CR2 files, which you should not be doing. if the DSLR_RAW module is configured properly (pure raw), it will ignore the rotation metadata in the exif header. if DCRAW (DSLR_RAW) is allowed to debayer the files, i think  it respects the rotation metadata.

calibration frames should not be debayered first, they should be kept in CFA format...
