HA LRGB AGAIN

Hi All

I managed to get a few hrs on M51 before the summer nights ( NO darkness now) and I accidentally took some HA  ( Forgot the ha filter was in there )
and have tried to mix it with the LRGB and get a very nice shade of green
I have mixed some ha with red and blue !

Any one got some genius ideas 8)

Not sure how much Ha there is in M 51, but here is something to try.  Be sure you stretch your frames well to get lots of signal.  The in the PI Gallery on my NGC 6188 go to the last post (#11) for a step by step on combining usign the LRGB tool.  No promises and my recommendation is to use that filter on Ha rich areas<G>.

Let me be sure I am clear on my idea.  COmbine Ha with the Red say 65-85 % Ha.  You can put 15% or so with the blue.  Plug the L,RHa, G, BHa into the proper channels in the LRGB tool as described above with defaults as descibed in the 6188 posting.  If initially it is real green star dialing down the green channel.  After many iterations you should have a workable balance.  Good Luck
