purchasing the Experience
« on: 2009 May 29 23:55:42 »
OK the period for using the trial version was running out, so I thought its only money  :moneyinmouth: and lashed out and bought the software.  I was wondering if there is a bit more on processing from scratch with a DSLR, and documentation.  Honestly i do look forward to being able to work with this software and i really appreciate the tutorials that Harry Page has done - they are great and i look forward to a heap more Harry!!

Juan i look forward to a prosperous time with this software, the learning curve is very high.  It looks like it has much to offer and i thought that this software is worth it. ;)

Hi David,

Welcome aboard!

I'm glad to have you here and I hope we'll be able to fulfill your expectations. From my experience with PixInsight users, the learning curve seems much more steep than it actually is. The first steps are difficult because our user interface paradigm is quite different from what is customary in most imaging applications, but once you get acquainted with it, everything speeds up.

Yes, Harry's video tutorials are really nice; he's doing a great contribution with them, which I appreciate a lot. Stay tuned since after the release of version 1.5.2 (ASAP), I'll engage myself into producing a new series of videos, which will cover from the practical usage of the interface to the most advanced tools. We're just at the beginning of this project! :)
