Most posts here are about problems and other issues .... but here is some good news.
I have recently been creating a couple of mosaics ranging from 2 to 9 images. When looking at the individual mosaic images I was concerned aboout the differences in the backgrounds due to different seeing conditions while gathering the data. I followed the tutorial from Warren Keller's book "Inside PixInsight" to do the SA and then the GMM and was astounded at the background smoothness and the seamless joining of the individual images.
