PI not running on Ubuntu upgraded to 17.10
« on: 2017 December 24 02:34:25 »
Hi!

I just upgraded my Ubuntu desktop from 17.04 t0 17.10 and PinxInsight no longer runs. Trying to run from terminal gives me:

$ PixInsight
/opt/PixInsight/bin/PixInsight: /opt/PixInsight/bin/lib/libz.so.1: version `ZLIB_1.2.9' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpng16.so.16)

How to solve this?

Best,

Magnus

This is replied elsewhere in this forum. Just rename the symlink /opt/PixInsight/bin/lib/libz.so.1 to anything else.
