New Instance startup
« on: 2017 November 27 11:30:43 »
Hi Everyone Running most recent version of Mac (High Sierra) and most recent Pixinsight for Mac but I can't find the New Instance (No Start Menu). Is the new Instance from a menu not part of Mac OSX version of PixInsight. I still can use it if I type in the info.
Oh and by the way I can not even find in finder PixInsight New Instance in folder where I can start PixInsight.

Please help

you need to launch a new instance of PI from the console like so:

!!$PXI_COREDIR/PixInsight -n

note that this command differs from previous replies on this topic in the forum... i think this is because Juan had to rejigger how the PI binary is packaged to be compatible with apple's new application security guidelines. this may have started in OSX 10.10 or 10.11, not sure. can't even remember what apple calls this new stuff (signed binaries, etc.)
