Yep I am using a Mac, so that must be the issue.  However the other tutorials ran great on my Mac?????

Hi Jack

The only thing I can think of is that I used a new bit of software to edit the WMV file and perhaps its not Mac friendly!
or the file is a bit monkey  :)
Will redo and see if it becomes Mac friendly

Hi Harry,

Can you write-up a couple of sentences describing how you create your video tutorials (software used, screen size selected, etc.). Not wishing to 'steal your thunder', but I am sure others (like me) might have some simple hints that are easier expressed in 30s of video than 30 lines of forum text !!

FYI, I have Camtasia Studio and would be screen-capturing using that, before post-processing to minimise file size.

Cheers,

Hi Niall

You can have all the thunder and Lightning you like just leave me the clear skies ;D

I have not seen the package you intend to use and would be interested in its capabilities
I tried a dozen or so software package and ended up with a very simple package called replay http://replay-video.com/ as this offered the
best quality video I could find with small file sizes.
This package creates wmv files which are  very difficult to edit without recoding ( missing video quality and  creating bigger file sizes) , also does not pick up cursor changes correctly.
I capture the full frame ( 1440 x 900) at 20 fps and 22htz sound quality

I look forward to your videos

Harry

Hi Niall

I have tried the software package you suggest and indeed is very good and recodes the best I have tried.

Pity its 10 times the price  :'(

I have a 30 day trial to have a go with but video editing looks easier , but wmv still produces the smallest files,

Harry
how about stacking and aligning DSLR images, maybe processing a nebulae or two, or even a few methods of workflow to processing images?
