Wow--how did you know? I use the SBIG STT 8300 with the self guiding filter wheel.

From what I have seen so far I noticed that the 3D effects of the images is better when the filters bandwidth is smaller.
Since I found it having a nice 3D effect I assume very small (hence 3nm?). it's not a science just what I use to see when checking images and their equipment.
That's an interesting approach. Your right. I am aware that the filters, though passing less signal, actually provide for a stronger signal because of a higher SNR (That's off of the Astrodon page). I do like the Astrodon 3nm better than the baader 7nm. But Baader now makes a 3.5nm, which is much less expensive than the Astrodon.
