I can understand the PI reasons. Anyway, it has been a loss for me as I used it very often.

Let's hope things can marry to a better solution for all. Right now we can used it as said before.

Thanks,

Aleix

Hello
I am one of the 2 authors of this script (but not the programmer !!! )

I really understand and agree with Juan about integrate or not the scripts in the official release. If integrated, script needs update along the new version of the DLLs or Core. And unfortunatelly, we cannot provide this effort to make the modifications.

We use this script (SHO-AIP) with success on 1.8.5. I will try to understand and find the bugs  :'(

English translation is maybe false as we use the french version, I didn't take a look of the english one. I will also try to correct the wrong english translation !

The problem on the linear image where we need to make a STF, we cannot display in the menu a STF version of the image. Only linear LUT can be displayed.

Anyway, you can use the 1.0.11 version here for the moment.

DoubleDeadLine is also a usefull script if you have bad columns. It is only working fine with 16 bits FIT images. We are trying to adapt it for XISF 32bits ones.

cheers
Philippe

Hi Folks
I spoke with Laurent.
We will try to update the AIP scripts in the next 2 weeks ( maybe counted in PI time unit  ^-^  )

Hi Philippe,

Great news! Please let me know when you have the latest versions ready for release. To ensure normal inclusion in the standard PixInsight distribution, I strongly recommend you join us at GitHub and upload these scripts to our open-source PJSR repository:

For some reason the repository returns the error:

"https://pixinsight.com/ar/repository/: Network error: Response code = 404"

But I could add the AIP files via the zip download.

I too was distressed to see one of my main tools disabled or at least made less accessible. I am glad they are coming back!

It needs a few update so I was wondering if progress was made on the quote below:

I went to each of those scripts and edited the file permissions and they now work again. Don't know why they came in with the necessary read permissions but its a simple fix

Chris,

For those of us who are not programmers, could you elaborate on exactly what to change re the file permissions.

Thanks,

Jim

Philippe et Laurent, I volunteer to help w/ translation- you can reach me at warhenk at yahoo dot com. Glad to see this- people rely on the scripts, and I'm glad Juan has reopened the door for them to be reestablished. As you may know, I've spent a lot of time detailing them. I'd also have suggestions to simplify them. Hate to see them fall by the wayside. Merci
Best always, Warren

Hello

We are "full" at work each other these times and no time to write a new code (or simplify it). We also take time to process our continous flow of images from Chile and preparing the installation of our 500mm ODK in March 2018 in Chile.

If someone is familiar to program a script using file selection and pixel math, I will be open to explain him the goal of the Luminance and also SHO blending/mixing.

Sorry for that... days have only 24 hours !

Best regards

Any updates?

See Alejandro’s post on page 1.

I added the repository but and when I checked for updates it says that there are no updates available.  I don't have the script in my PI version.  What am I doing wrong?

I just manually installed it and after figuring out how to use it, it seemed to work great.
