New Version Release?
« on: 2006 August 24 02:20:10 »
Hi P.I Team,

When does the new version of Pixinsight with the star masking and wavelet features come out please?

And will there be a video tutorial for wavelets any time soon?

Thanks

Ray

Hi Ray

There is already an implementation of the A Trous Wavelets algorithm in the current beta release. It is the wavelets-pm32.dll module. The star mask generation feature is still in our "to do" list. Right now Juan is working on DynamicAligment, a process that semi automatically registers (aligns) two images, based on pairs of stars. I still have not the fluidicy with the PCL to implement that kind of processes, so I am working on implementing my previous command line application into the PixInsight STD framework.

Regarding video tutorial, we don't have plans to make them in the near future, but maybe other PTeam members, wich are not involved with the code development, may work on that. I'll tell them that videotutorials are a public demand :D

Hi Carlos,

I'll download that module now.

And yes, I found the video tutorials very helpful, so it would be great if they could be done for other high tech features of PixInsight.
