ImageSolver script image angle and FITS header
« on: 2016 December 23 01:32:05 »
In the latest versions (as of Dec 2016), I did an image solve on an integrated stack. The stack previously did not have any image coordinate information in the FITS header.
After the solve, I noticed that the report in the process console said the angle was -55 deg, but the FITS header was populated with +55 deg.

both could be correct as i think sometimes rotation angles are expressed as "degrees west of north" for which +55 would be correct while relative to 0 degrees at "noon" with angles increasing clockwise, it's also -55 degrees.

Andres probably knows for sure though.
