Is this book usable for DSLR users ?
Or is it primarily focused on NB photography ?

IMHO, it ranges from the level of the beginner to the level intermediate. It certainly is not a book focused on narrow band, although there is much useful about that between the covers.

Yes it's profitable for DSLR users too, chapter 21 is dedicated to one-shot color, it explain where processes are the same or diverge between color CCD/DSLR images and monochrome images.
Take a look to these links http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319256801 and Jim Morse review, http://cs.astronomy.com/asy/b/astronomy/archive/2016/09/28/a-review-of-the-book-inside-pixinsight-by-warren-keller.aspx
I like very much this book It's suitable for all levels with a lot of information about PI processes and scripts.
It's a complementary tool to the existing tutorials.
IMHO you'll learn PI more deeply and quickly using this book.

Eddy, if you get the book, I hope it's a later copy as we amended a small section on DSLR RAW. Let me know if you have any questions. It's on page 58 and deals w/ RAW and the BPP script. It's fixed now!
Best always, Warren

I'm quite new to PI and this was recommended to me a few weeks ago so I picked up a copy.  I have to say that even though I'm a novice with the platform, the book was very easy to read and follow.  I'm halfway through and have picked up quite a bit already.  All my imaging so far has been DSLR based and the material in here is quite useful for my needs.  Highly recommended!
