I'm sure that the Pixinsight team (of one person plus a few part-time volunteers) would love to have the bandwidth to keep building and improving the software while writing reams of quality documentation and offering hours of individual support and handholding to every customer. Unfortunately, I can't believe that the economics of the business will support that. Astronomical image processing is a tiny niche mostly populated by hobbyists with limited funds.
I'm personally just grateful for such a sophisticated and continually improving package at a bargain price (especially if you consider the lack of a yearly maintenance tax). If I have to experiment a bit for myself and dig through forum posts to figure out how to do things then then that seems a small price to pay.
Perhaps with a more positive attitude you'd also find people more willing to help...
