Aperture Photometry request
« on: 2016 May 02 15:38:13 »
When analyzing "Detected Stars" images in aperture photometry output I noticed a few stars were not included in the output.  The stars are very visible in the image and should have been included.  I used the PMXL catalog, but if I use the GSC catalog then it does add the missing stars, but leaves many others out.  After trying many permutations of magnitude limit and color filter I come to the conclusion that some stars in the GSC are not in the PMXL catalog.  I have selected "use image" in the source extraction for stars and I do get an error message showing some stars were not found in the catalog.

What I would like to request is if "use image" for source extraction is selected AND the detected star is not found in the catalog that it flag the star with a code and go ahead and add it to the output table.  The position would be the WCS position from the plate solve and the magnitude would be left blank.  All other parameters would still be good.  The detected stars image would then show the normal aperture photometry box and circle around these stars.

Alternatively, is the source script available for Aperture Photometry so I could make the changes myself for my own use.

The source of the scripts is at GitHub: https://github.com/PixInsight
You can modify my scripts as you like with the only limitation being that you should honor the license.
