Invalid memory read
« on: 2016 April 02 19:06:28 »
Hi,

I some time get "..Invalid memory read.." on different functions, in this case TGVDenoise when clicking "Local support check box". Made NR on a loaded FITS 16 image.
PixInsight Standard Edition
Version 01.08.04.1195 Ripley (x64)
Running on Windows 10 64bit

Solution is often to restart PI (also worked this time). I think you have some kind of memory cash problem, PI was started some days before the problem.

Best regards,
/Christer

We cannot reproduce this problem on any of our working and testing machines, including Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. This does not happen under normal working conditions on any platform.

What does this mean, exactly? Was the application running for several days when this happened? Did you put your computer into hibernation or sleep mode in-between?

i'm getting the same thing - also win10 64bit, will generate screenshot and log next time it happens.  i can usually just close the exception error and continue working though, no need to restart.

ignore the horrific M45 in the background, just playing at rescuing bad data.  I simply clicked 'cascade all windows' and this error was thrown up.  I'm on Win10, 2500K/8GB ram, latest build of PI.

I can cancel the error and move on, but worth letting you know nonetheless.

I love this program!
