BatchPreprocessor issue
« on: 2016 March 07 10:22:49 »
Hello all,

Latest Pixinsight release installed......

I need someone's help here, have not used Pixinsight for quite a while due to other commitments. The other night
I managed to get out under the stars and have a go at M81 / 82. I lost some lights due to a problem but I still managed
to get some Lights, Darks, Bias and Flats with my QHY8L.

Chucked it all into the BatchPreprocessor like I always used to but it does not seem to give me a final image which I swear
used to be in the Masters folder.

This is what it's giving me:

Output Directory I chose was 'C:\Try 1':

In the main 'Try 1' folder I get the following 2 folders:   'Calibrated' and 'Master'

in 'Calibrated' I get 2 folders -> 'Flat' and 'Light'

In 'Flat' I have all 10 flats with the 'c' suffix for calibrated

In 'Light' I have all my Lights with the 'c' suffix and a subfolder called 'Debayered' with all my Lights with 'c_d' suffix for calibrated and Debayered I assume

In Try 1's subfolder -> Master I get a Master Bias, a Master Flat and a Master Dark

AND THATS IT !

I swear blind I always used to have a Master Light in there too which was my final completed image ???

Where could it be ?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Paul

if there are no _c_d_r images around then perhaps the registration has failed for every single image, and hence no master light...

Hi rob,
    Thanks for answering......

No, there is no evidence of any files in my directory structure with _c_d_r on them

So what could make this fail and why no error message when this event occurs  ???

What Pixinsight tool does image registration, I could run my lights through it to see if it
works or not without using the batch processor script  ???

Thanks
Paul

I have just used the tool 'Star Alignment' using:

Registration Model = 'Projective Transformation'

working mode =  'Register/Match Images'

On Error = 'Ask User'

And my chosen output folder now has all Lights with  '_r' added to them and no errors

????

i think batchpreprocessing has an option to calibrate only, meaning it won't register and integrate. are you sure that option was off? also did you pick a registration reference frame in BPP?

otherwise you'll have to look at the console while BPP is running to see if for some reason the registration is failing for some reason.
