ATrousWaveletTransform Keeps Crashing PixInsight

Hello,

Running Windows 64bit and latest build.   This has been a problem since moving to "Ripley".

Reproduce:

1) Open Image
2) Open ATrousWaveletTransform
3) Click Preview to Open Preview
4) Click Reset
5) Adjust bias layers 2,3,4 (usually .08, .08, .02 respectively)
6) Click "Apply" - PixInsight Crashes.....

The only pattern I can pick up on is it seems to do it more consistently if I adjust layer 4.  If layer 4 is set to Zero, it doesn't seem to do it.

Very annoying....

Windows 10
Intel i7 Dual Core w/ 2 processors per core
12GB Ram

I just tried on my Win 10 64 bit system but I have a quad core i7-2600K with 32 GBs RAM. No problems. Post a screen shot of the exact settings using ATWT please.

I just tried to replicate it while screen recording and of course it won't crash now :-)

I will have to walk through my full workflow to get it to crash... will try to do later this week.....

Perhaps it has something to do with a memory leak or other problem that only crops up after running through a bit of processing.

Ok, processed another image, and just like clockwork it crashed - screen recorded it this time.....

Here are the steps I took before opening/using the ATW Transform:

1) Dynamic Crop
2) Dynamic Background Extraction
3) Background Neutralization
4) Color Calibration
5) SCNR
6) Duplicate image -> apply histogram to duplicate -> apply duplicate as Mask
7) ATW Transform
8) MultiScaleMedian Transform
9) Histrogram Stetch
10) Extract Luminance Layer -> apply Lum as mask
11) ATW Transform
12) Multiscale Median Transform
13) Create StarMask -> Apply to base image
14) Morphological Transform
15) ATW Transform as seen in Video ...... CRASH

I cannot reproduce this problem on any of our working and testing machines.

Anyway, the ATrousWaveletTransform tool is obsolete since at least two years. It belongs to the Compatibility category and is included in PixInsight distributions exclusively for compatibility with existing scripts and projects.

ATWT was superseded by the MultiscaleLinearTransform tool. Any tutorial or guide recommending ATWT is severely outdated.

I'm using the new function and no problems!
