Trying to create Preview Window on MacOS

Trying to create Preview Window on MacOS version of PixInsight.

Cannot get the mouse drag feature. Using the menu or using the icon, I get the dialog box. Pressing Alt+N (that is, Option+N), has no effect.

Also, once the Preview window is in place by defining it by using the dialog box, there seems to be no way to drag it around using the mouse.

Also, when I use the right mouse click to bring up the context menu and choose Mode, New Preview is greyed out (see attached image).

But if I load a different image file, it all works fine. So what state of an image file prevents the interactive drawing of Preview windows?

Using PixInsight 1.8.04.1195 on a Mac running El Capitan, 2 TB hard disk with plenty of space, 16 GB memory, i7 processor.

Not reproducible. Alt key shortcuts and the mouse work perfectly on all of our working and testing machines on all platforms, including OS X 10.10 and 10.11.

This is because the current view is a preview. When you have a preview selected, the New Preview and Edit Preview modes are disabled. In other words, you cannot define a preview inside a preview, and the corresponding menu options are disabled to reflect this fact.

But if I load a different image file, it all works fine.

Because when the newly loaded image is shown it is also activated. Since there is no preview selected, the preview options are available.
