Weird Little TGVDenoise Detail on Automatic Convergence
« on: 2016 January 19 19:49:01 »
Hi, after falling in love with MureDenoise I have been looking at TGVDenoise again and getting good results with a L mask and Previews to adjust the edge protection (this is in linear).

BUT, when I get the right setting in the preview, it often does not translate to the whole image properly... get rings around the stars.  I noticed that in the preview the convergence was often as low a 4 iterations but the whole image might be 100+.  If I de-check the automatic convergence and put in the number of iterations from the preview, the whole image comes out pretty well.

I guess the preview will find setting for only a portion of the image, which does not work overall?

Bigger previews a solution...?
