Color Mask Script--PLEASE
« on: 2016 January 17 07:39:05 »
When I click on the link I get a video that is of no help.  Using Manage repository to add the link gets me a 404 error.  Frankly, there are so many scripts and add ons I am feeling like Dorothy in the twister.

Hi!"
Forget Repository for this case!!!!

First you click this link:
https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7751.0;attach=11310

This downloads the compressed (zipped) scriptfile (ColorMask_0.7.zip) into your Download Folder. You have to select "save" and it will be stored into your Download folder. (That gets it into the same folder where you downloaded PI to!!!)

Than you open your Download Folder with FileExplorer and "unzip" the compressed file
ColorMask_0.7.zip with a mouse right click and select "unpack here".
This gets you the ColorMask_0.7.js  script file in the Dowload Folder!!!
Now you can either install it with the tutorial mentioned by the other guys,
Or you run it immediately with these steps:

Have Pi opened with the images you want to use.
Drag an drop the ColorMask 0.7.js file to your open PI Window Workspace.
This shows the script file.
Pressing PF9 executes the script.
When yoou have finished the use of the script you can restart it with PF9 again...

Doesn't work that way on my Lenovo Yoga tablet/laptop.  When I down load it the options I get are open or open folder--not save.  When I left click on it after I download it teh options are open, cut, copy or delete.  If I open it I get errors and can't.

I find it in PIs script tool under scripts, execute script file.  It is in the list with a S not a folder in front of it.  I can open the script and see the programming, but I can't execute or in anyway use it.
