WCS Coordinate System
« on: 2015 November 28 08:46:22 »
Is there any chance of including the ability to display right ascension and declination based on the WCS coordinate system, which is used for Hubble Space Telescope imagery data? When I display the HST FITS image, all I see displayed are the X and Y image pixel coordinates and not the RA and Dec coordinates based on the WCS information in the FITS header.

It would be nice if the celestial coordinates could be displayed in the status bar. Meanwhile, you can use the script AnnotateImage. The preview window of this script shows the celestial coordinates of the pixel of the cursor.
