Hi,

thank you for publishing this useful script! I've been playing with it a bit tonight with an M31 stack I still wasn't happy with. When I run the script on the unprocessed stack it seems to be too aggressive, like "Shooting holes" in the image. It seems to work better for me on a stack I've already stretched with curves and histograms.

Is this to be expected or should I review what I'm doing? Clearly the results matter and in this case speak for themselves but I would like to understand it too

this is expected, DSE must be used in nonlinear images (at least with the default parameters ). In our opinion, the best use of the script is after an application of  HDRWTransform, so clearly its application is in nonlinear images,

Thanks Oriol. I didn't use HDRWTransform but the image wasn't linear anymore. I'm glad my experience matches what you expected
