Something goes wrong here :?  Perhaps I'm missing something?

These are the images of Orion Nebula taken almost two years ago, with exposure times ranging from 1" to 480" with a DSI II. Not fabulous images, but enough to try this new script. :-)

Hi cavamen,

well, playing a little bit with the parameters (binarize thrershold 0.2, wavlets layers 4, highlight limits 0.7-0.5) and using yours jpg (from 15'' to 450'') we have this result:



Of course with the raw data you can achieve better results :)

It seems some user action is required. :D

I use a high smooth of the mask to avoid some sharp effect between zones.
