Help me understand process icons

I thought I could save individual process icons and then also open them up individually and add them to the workspace.  So all along I've been saving individual process icons.  Now I've discovered that I can only open one process icon at a time and it eliminates any other open process icons on the workspace. 

Is there a way that I can lump all of my individually saved process icons into a set, so when I open the set all of them become available on the workspace?

To open other process icons use 'merge' instead of open.

To save a group of icons as one set simply left click in the workspace and drag the mouse over the icons you want to save in the set. Then use the save icons selection.

Oh, Ok thanks Mike.  I love PI but there are many things that just logically don't make sense to me and operate opposite from what I expect.  Now I get it.

It's all in what you've learned from in the past and worked with. For me I find this style of software is totally logical and much easier to work with then the 'popular' packages. Not to mention much more flexible but that's me.
