Version 1.8.4: New Preview command hangs Pixinsight in Windows 10

Hi

I have switched OP-System from Windows 8.1 to windows 10. With the new 1.8.4 Version (or maybe also earlier Versions) and Windows 10, the start of a Preview hangs the Program  . Worked in Windows 8.1....Else I can process my images as usual, but I can't use the Preview...

Is that a bug?

I was having issues with Win 10 crashing when starting Starrynight Pro Plus 7 Beta and the only way around it was to start with Win 8 compatibility. I've since moved back to Win 7 Pro so I can't check this problem but it might be worth a try and see if compatibility mode helps.

I use the alt n shortcut and all works ok , but use the new preview  \ modify preview and the program crashes as you say

this is of course with windows 10

The Version 1.8.4 1171 works fine on my Windows 10 now...alt-n and the preview command in the tool-bar as well.

Thanks for the tiphttp://pixinsight.com/forum/Smileys/default/smile.gif. I can't remember I got a notification for 1171, but I did get one for 1170...
