I did a test to see if I could measure the difference between using the battery inside the body of a dslr versus using it in a battery grip, thinking the battery probably generates some warmth so noise would be higher when using the battery in the body.
I'm wondering what the best measurement would be.
The 'Noise' value from the subselector script seems to aim to measure the 'shotnoise' (the 'real' random noise) and gives me a straight line (more or less) for both, which makes sense.
But then I'm wondering weather MeanDeviation would be useful, or Median, or Mean values to estimate the noise itself.
Looking at Mean values per channel gives me this picture, which actually surprises me;
