Newbie issue with documenttaion system
« on: 2015 July 07 11:10:29 »
Hi all,

I just installed the trial version and I am having a problem with the documentation system. For example, if I click the browse documentation icon in the lower right corner of the deconvolution panel, Process Explorer opens on the left hand side of the screen with the cursor selecting "deconvolution", but in the panel to the right of the Process Explorer window, PI displays the message: "Tool documentation not available: deconvolution". In fact if I browse through any of the documentation topics in the Process Explorer window, all the topics give me the same message.

I am presuming this is an installation issue of some sort and would appreciate your suggestions on how to fix it.

Update PixInsight (Main Menu -> Resources -> Updates -> Check for updates). It will download the documentation. Anyway, keep in mind that just some of the tools have the documentation page writen. Others are in the reviewing qeue, or the to do list.

Thanks for your fast response. I just tried to run the update but ran into package update errors for each package. An image of the error window is attached.

Hello

I've not seen this before, but I think it may have to do with authorizations.
May be if you run the update as administrator, it could solve your issue.
