How to reset license for trial extension?

I reached the end of my trial after forgetting about the program over the holidays. I requested a trial extension and was approved. I'm trying to enter my new license key, but the software just says the license is expired and exits. I can't figure out how to enter my new license key. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and that didn't help.

Maybe if you go to C:/Users/name of your computer. There you will find text document named pixinsight-licence. Delete that file and try again.
