Problem with "Check for Updates"

When I click on "Check for Updates" I get this message: "Unable to download repository information.
Check the error log below for details
"with the following details:" https://pixinsight.com/update/: Network error: Failed to connect to port 443 pixinsight.com: Bad access ". Why? Can anyone help me?

P.S. IP address and user name and password are correct.

Any chance you have a firewall blocking the access?  You might try toggling your FW off for an instant and hitting check for updates then re engage the FW.   Don't want your pants down for too long <G>, but this will at least rule out one possible cause of PI not being able to access the update site.
