PJSR wish list: feature script documentation
« on: 2014 December 19 12:20:14 »
Scripts are easy to install and remove and are not required to reside in the install folder. The same is not true for script documentation, as far as I can tell.

It would be nice if script .pidoc's were easier to install and manage.

Maybe Script > Feature Scripts... > Add could find and install them using some folder naming convention, and allow them to remain located in their remote folders? And similarly script deletion by uncheck items in the script list would delete links to associated documentation?

Also, it would be nice if the PixInsightForum supported an "Insert pidoc" tag. The forum processor would compile and render the documentation inline in the post. This would avoid having to download, compile and install the pidoc just to browse the documentation. Maybe this can be done already somehow?

Thanks,
Mike
