Subframe Selector settings

Can someone outline the steps in their proper order for analyzing CR2 files with the Subframe Selector script? Any settings / parameters that you have found helpful would also be appreciated. Thanks

One procedure is to first calibrate your raw Bayer CFA, then de-Bayer, extract channels, and run the script on each channel separately. The default parameters are usually OK, but there are situations where changes are needed, such as when SNR is low and the script doesn't detect enough stars. If your optics have annoying aberrations near the edges, you can crop the channels and focus on only central region measurements. Stronger gradients and atmospheric scattering due to clouds and dust can sometime result in less useful measurements, I like to use Blink to find these problems.

Thanks Mike.

So am I correct to assume that if I use the Batch Processing Script with calibrate only checked (cosmetic correction enabled) I could then apply the Subframe Selector Script to the resulting calibrated, cosmetic corrected, registered and debayered subs as a final step before integration?

Yes.

Note calibrate only checked may not register, which is fine for SubframeSelector.

Also, don't extract channels, just run the RGB calibrated subs in SubframeSelector.
