Combining multiple images into single .fit file
« on: 2014 November 03 03:49:02 »
When using the batch preprocessing script with the option to make the image integration enabled, the process ends by creating a certain light-BINNING_1.fit file that contains the  integrated image as well as a rejection_high and a rejection_low images -all images in one single fit file.

I'd like to save 3 images into one single fit file - does anyone knows how to do it?

Claudius,

Can you explain a bit more.  I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do and do not understand why you would want to save the rejection data in the same FITs file as your corrected light frame (if you want to retain the rejection data you can always do a "save as" on the rejection image).

Best,

Jim
Really, are clear skies, low wind and no moon that much to ask for?

Hi Jkmorse,

I just wanted to know how to do it :). I simply like to open the fit file after integration and see the rejection maps and light frame alltogether.

The alternative you proposed is what I always do - using "save as" for each reject file.

Thanks for the reply!
