Trouble with Mosaics using Star Alignment
« on: 2014 August 08 07:00:15 »
I have been able to use the register/union function of star alignment in the past with good success but lately the algorithm appears successful but doesn't actually merge the two panels.  I have checked that I've paired the panels correctly, they are both stretched (or both unstretched), and same image format.  I'm out of ideas at this point and would appreciate any advice.  Thanks.

Not sure if it will help but you may want to check out this discussion thread which dealt with mosaic building and distortion modeling: http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=7371.0

Hope it helps,

Jim
Really, are clear skies, low wind and no moon that much to ask for?
