Mosaic - possible for manual alignment?
« on: 2014 May 04 12:34:10 »
I have been trying to build a mosaic of M24 (Sagit star cloud) with a single shot RGB camera from a C8HD @ F2.
The mosaic is 4x4, each frame has around 4000 stars.  Each frame was calibrated, stacked,cropped and DBE.  The star alignment tool works well until the last few frames.  Working with a very large file and lots of stars.  I can "see" the match for the frames but I am not sure how to get to the tool to align manually.

I don't think I have any memory or processor limits, program appears to be stable but I do know that once I have an alignment error (which takes several minutes for the program to determine), I have to exit and reenter the program to try alternatives.

Thanks for any input

As a followup to my first post;
A work around to get the alignment to work within Pixinsight...
I aligned each row by itself then cropped the row to remove jagged edges.
Then aligned each aligned row.
A few extra steps but the overall processing time dropped since the program had a much better time finding matches and did not enter any loops.
