PI doesn't read the right dimensions of raw file
« on: 2013 November 14 03:24:49 »
Hi all!

I was trying to use the great module SplitCFA and have found something strange. The module fails to do the task because the image ( .CR2 from a CANON 550D) has an ¡¡odd!! number. The module is right,  it reads a 5202x3465 image instead of 5184 x 3456. Irfanview gives the right dimensions. I have tested it with 32 and 64 versions under windows.

What is happening?

Real size of Canon chip a bit more. PixInsight decode all normal pixels plus some overscan. You can use that additional pixel or not.
Any way in ImageCalibration tools there are settings for Overscan. You can crop all additional pixels. Just define Image Region.

Thanks for answering, first time that dealing with this problem. With my former 350D the overscan didn't produce an odd number.
