Checksum error when updating macosx-x86_64

Tried multiple times.
Keep getting checksum error when updating macosx-x86_64

Hi David,

This happens because you aren't entering your correct user name and/or password. See for example this post.

maybe a slightly more helpful error message would help avoid these problems...

Actually, this message is the result of a bug in the update system: there is no checksum error, but an incorrect login. This will be fixed in 1.8.0, and then the correct "invalid user name and/or password" message will be shown.
