APOD

I have noticed  that several of the PixInsight group have had images published on APOD.

How does one submit images for APOD? There doesn't seem to be a clear process.

Thanks.

Actually, the process can be found by following links on the APOD page but since it is down at the moment... I can't guide you to it...

apod is still available at apod.com

there is this other board - starship somethingorother (always forget the name - starship asterisk?) where if you join and post your image, eventually the right people see them.

From this page, at bottom: http://apod.com/lib/about_apod.html

Do you enjoy APOD? Do you have a picture that would make a good APOD? If so, we would enjoy hearing from you. Images are most often submitted by email or by posting to a web site. Please see this page or write to Robert Nemiroff at nemiroff at mtu dot edu or Jerry Bonnell at bonnell@grossc.gsfc.nasa.gov regarding image submissions. Please note that by submitting your image to APOD, you are consenting for your image to be used on APOD in all of its forms unless you explicitly note otherwise. These include mirror sites, foreign language mirror sites, and direct APOD derivative products including thumbnail feeds on Facebook and Google+ under names having to do with "Sky" and "APOD". We do recommend that you include a small copyright notice in a corner of your submitted images.
