Make http://pixinsight.com/doc/ accessible again
« on: 2013 October 04 02:34:16 »
Could you make http://pixinsight.com/doc/ accessible again? That would be useful to browse the full PI documentation while traveling. It used to be that way a while ago.

.htaccess to the rescue :)

It should be working now. Sorry for not having done this before...

However, please note that some of the reference documents for tools are now obsolete. In particular, the documentation for StarAlignment needs a complete revision (almost a rewrite, in fact). The documentation for the documentation compiler script is also severely outdated. Hopefully I'll have time to fix these two problems soon.

Juan,

thanks for changing this.

A pragmatic proposal regarding outdated documentation: Just add a small section in the header of those documents stating that they are outdated, and if possible add some hints there what aspects of the document are outdated. In my opinion, the outdated documents are still valuable, since some aspects are still valid.

I know how difficult it is to write documentation of the quality that you are writing. So thanks a lot for what you are doing!
