Hi, I am new to PI and currently running the free trial. After downloading PI, it installed a number of updates but the new version of the PixInsight Core 1.8.0 Ripley application build 1023 will not load. I don't know if this is a bug or an issue with my m/c but I get the following error message:
File checksum error: C:/Users/simon/AppData/Local/Temp/PixInsight64-update/pixinsight.com/20130730-windows-x86_64-core-t.zip
Any advice on fixing this appreciated. My machine is running Windows 8, Pentium 2.3Ghz processor, 6GB RAM, 64-bit OS
