Debayer Method.
« on: 2013 September 24 01:16:57 »
I have a starlight express sxvf m25c one shot colour camera.

I am new to Pixinsight using the trial version , therefore not familiar with all the processes and features. My problem is I am struggling to debayer the RAW images. Using the batch debayer. The script states that it applies the debayer process to each frame with a particular debayer process. My camera specs are Sony ICX413AK SuperHAD progressive scan imager with RGBG
Bayer colour filter matrix. The option does not appear as a choice to use. Selecting a different mode gives a rainbow cast to the image(as expected). But I had to try all for my own sanity.

There are some amazing video tutorials around, all seem to focus on mono cameras and do not mention the one shot colour process.

Any advice is welcome

Hi,

there are only 4 choices, 2 are clearly wrong because you'll see a checkerboard pattern in the result. So now you are left with 2 choices. Easy, right? I wrote this article a long time ago for use with different software, see if it sparks your imagination.
