Deconvolution error
« on: 2013 July 14 12:54:03 »
The first time I tried Deconvolution it worked fine.  After that I get the following warning and error messages when I hit apply:

<warning> invalid unlock operation: PSF
The view is locked for write operations: PSF

What I did before getting the messages was to open PixInsight, open my target file (tiff) and the Dynamic PSF process.  I selected a bunch of candidate stars
and exported a synthetic PSF.  PSF image then displayed in a window.  I then opened Deconvolution and selected "PSF" in external PSF,
left all other settings at default values and hit apply.

Help please!

You need to have your target image (the one you are going to perform deconvolution on) the active window when you invoke the process.  I think you may accidentally have the PSF image active... which is why you are getting the error.

what's happening is that the PSF window is activated (title bar is blue, indicating this) when you press the square button on the Decon process window.

simply click the title bar of the image you want to deconvolve first. or, drag the triangle on the Decon process window to the image you want to deconvolve.

the square icons on PI processes operate on the currently activated window, always.

Hi Scott,

Which version of PixInsight are you using? This sounds like a bug that I fixed some versions ago. Are you using version 1.8.0 RC7?
