Colour DSLR images end up greyscale
« on: 2013 May 24 08:15:24 »
Can someone give a newbie some hints please?

Use batch processing - 'Batchpreprocessing' to calibrate a series of lights, darks and flats (Canon RAW) that I know to be colour. I thin align them (star align) and integrate them.

When I look at them they are now in greyscale.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in anticipation.

there must be a control for whether or not to debayer the images, right? that's how you get a color image from a DSLR.

i don't really use BPP so i can't point to exactly where the control is.

There is a CFA check box in the BatchPreProcessing GUI that needs to be checked for DSLR Images. Also choose the correct debayer method.

As Georg states Earth Titan, that's all you need do is enable CFA/Debayering- first however, use process Debayer on a single image to determine your camera's offset settings. Once you make that one time determination, you'll know which RGB pattern to select during the batch.
