Floating Explorers on 4 monitors
« on: 2013 June 20 21:21:07 »
Hi All,

Using PI 1.8 RC7.  I have four monitors arranged in a 2x2 layout -- two big ones on the bottom row (30" Dells) and two smaller ones on the top row (27") that I use primarily to hold things "out of the way".  The layout is:

Primary monitor, lower left
Secondary monitor, lower right (driven by video card)
Third Monitor, upper left (driven by DisplayLink USB graphics driver)
Fourth Monitor, upper right (driven by DisplayLink USB graphics driver)

Windows 7 x64, 64 GB RAM.

I have found that in PI, if you float the Explorers, you cannot move them to the upper monitor.  The top edge of the floating window cannot be dragged above the top edge of the bottom row of monitors.  The *MOUSE CURSOR* will go up there.... but the window will not follow.  This is repeatable with any of the four Explorers.

Interestingly, the main program will easily drag up to a top row monitor, but even then ,the Explorers will not move off the bottom row.

This somewhat cripples my expanded desktop, as I like to place Photoshop Palettes up top until I need them... and want to do the same with PI.

Can this be fixed before 1.8 goes general?

Thanks!

I can confirm that this also happens with only two monitors when the second monitor is placed over the first.
