BTW, been a few months I've had it - still doing very well, and that's through a Canadian winter. Com port's been talking for months, never needed any power cycling (reboot/reset). Reams of data collected and saved to disk.
Or do you mean the Phidgets 1045 thermopile? They've discontinued the 1045_0 and replaced it with the 1045_1:

That sensor is the basis for the Foster Systems V3 weather station. Of course he's got hardware that interfaces with it to convert all the volts into a usable signal.
