Objekt Identification - deeper catalogs

Hallo Friends,

Im not a profi in PixInsigt.....

I want to get more informations about my deepsky objekts in the image.

My images are reaching mag 22 or more and i wouldt like to get names of many faint galaxies. (PGC - Leda - ??)

I know how i have to do generaly.

Now in my picture are only a few NGC and PGC galaxies.
see atteched images

Where i can find the right catalog to get the right information???
Or what i can do better?

Please help.

Hallo Robert!
Wähle den SDSS Katalog aus, siehe auch den deutschen Vortrag von Dr. Franz Gruber
bei unserem letzten Austrian PI User Meeting.
Herbert hat alles auf der PI Page abgespeichert.

Use the SDSS Katalog, there you can select Galaxies mit Mag above 20.
However SDSS does not cover the whole sky.

Beim Solven brauch ich da ja noch nix einstellen, oder?

Erst bei Annotate !?

Thanks.
Yesterday i tried until late night and i found the issue.
First i installed the new version 1.8 and there i had new options to select more catalogs.
Now i use the sdss online cataloge and can all zwicky galaxies in my image(s)

I would reccommend Aladin software, it is scientific dedicated software, where you simply align your photo woth the databased photo of the area, and then download the desired catalogs as and overlay. Works more than fine, I have indnetified the quasar in 11,5 billion LY distance on my DSLR picture of Markarian Chain.
