1.8 RC7 OSX crash

well after about a day's worth of use, i got an internal segmentation violation followed by a crash with no crashdump. while computing the STF of an RGB combination image made with PixelMath, i got the attached dialog box. then i tried STF again after clearing the dialogs (most said "segmentation violation") and finally PI just crashed. no backtrace...

This looks like a very strange bug in the STF tool, which I cannot reproduce. I'll investigate it further, since the API error gives some hints that I can follow. If you can provide a reproducible case, that would be of great help.

Let me know if you get one of these errors again.

i'll attach gdb before starting up again, hopefully i can catch the backtrace at least.
