Format Hints in ImageCalibration broken? (OSX 1.8RC7)
« on: 2013 August 13 11:16:44 »
for the first time in a long time i am working with DSLR CR2 files.

i used the batchformatconversion script to convert the bias and dark frames to .fits for ImageIntegration. the default input hints in BatchFormatConversion are "raw cfa". sure enough i get monchrome raw fits files out of the script.

however, if i try to calibrate some flats with the master bias i made, the calibrated output files are 3-plane images despite setting the input format hint to "raw cfa". i'm not sure if the calibration is even correct since the master bias is cfa.

is this a bug, or am i doing it wrong?

Hi Rob,

If all the input files are monochrome images and all the masters used are also monochrome, then IC should output monochrome images. Otherwise something very strange is happening, which I haven't seen before. Could you upload a minimal data set that reproduces the problem?
